Dim Sum Sunday

  • Joyful Garden restaurant 550 Arsenal Street Watertown, Massachusetts, 02472 United States (map)

No service on November 1; come eat with us instead!

The early church broke bread together, and we’re digging into dumplings!

On November 1 at 10 AM, we’re trading chair-rows for chopsticks and gathering at Joyful Garden in Watertown for dim sum and deep fellowship. At Riverwalk, food is basically one of our love languages, and we believe sharing a meal is holy work.

Why we’re doing this: Dim Sum Sunday is an easy, low-pressure way to invite a friend, neighbor, or family member to meet our church community, especially if church feels like a big step for them. It’s also a chance to try new things, connect across cultures, and embrace the many ways God’s people gather around a table.

🥟 New to dim sum? No worries! We’ll order family-style so everyone shares: steamed and fried dumplings (pork, shrimp, mushroom, veggie) plus other Cantonese favorites. Beginners and seasoned pros are equally welcome.

When: November 1, 10 AM
Where: Joyful Garden, Watertown (550 Arsenal Street)
How much: $20 per person (Venmo beforehand or day of)
Who: Friends and family, including non-Riverwalkers, are absolutely invited! Please RSVP for them or share the form so we get an accurate headcount.
Heads up: there will be no worship gathering at the BTC that day.
